The more professional looking being in front is my manager. They’re holding one of my products. Which is tastefully censored. Some conventions allow this. Some do not! I follow the rules tho! I’ve just got bills to pay you know?

TBH I don’t think any artist should be able to vend at a con three years in a row but…. yeah… but I always try and man I just like seeing all my friends when I’m working… PLEASE ACCEPT ME OH GOD I NEED THOSE LA STREET TACOS…

Yes, I know I dabble in risqué online. But I have bills to pay! Rest assured that I love to bring all my wonderful totally acceptable merch to cons! It’s just more fun to be with the people than online all day.

Not that I don’t enjoy the adult content conventions. But hey, I always review and follow the rules for every con. And where possible, I try to NOT be in the 18+ areas. I want to see people! I want to have fun! Unlike most illustrators, I am a filthy extrovert.

It’s well and good to be able to make the most out of a last minute convention. But if you have the time to plan? Gotta have those custom boxes and bags and envelopes!

Here’s a sticker of Lady Amalthea, more widely known as the lone unicorn survivor. Most people obviously know the movie. Good movie. Good book too. Did you know the author (cool guy btw) also wrote the movie script?

Anyway, it’s Rankin/Bass film. Cool studio. Worked with Toei a lot. Legendary studio. Especially in the 80s oh man. But before that they were Topcraft. This is important because they did the fucking Thundercats cartoon. Which is honestly the sickest OP of all time.

They also use Amalthea’s unicorn model in Thundercats. So The Last Unicorn is canon to Thundercats. Anyway, Amalthea is an anime girl.

I have lots of knowledge of stuff like this. SMH. And I love to talk about when I draw live and stuff. I stream my drawings daily. This is my full time job. I talk and listen! I’m old, but I have a lot to learn by communicating with my followers. And maybe I have information to share! Digitally this is nice but… I mean LIVE at a convention is just more fun.

I’m SUPER proud to bring my OCs to the con and SUPER proud that people come up to me and ask for them by name!

You cannot walk by this booth without a double take and that’s fun for everyone.

But that also means it’s a PROFESSIONAL AND VISUALLY APPEALING TABLE DISPLAY. YUP. YOU HEAR THAT AX????

I have done the overly organized drive thru-window type booth. It’s not fun. And it’s hard to talk to people! I prefer being able to stand and smile and make conversation.

To that end, I like larger merch. Tons of tiny little items get lost. And everything looks the same. If I can have some big stickers and oversized charms, a few large apparel items, and some 13×19 prints, then people can take EVERYTHING in. They aren’t being overwhelmed by the entire cast of 30 different fighting games presented on several hundred 1” keychains.

People don’t skip my booth! Even for a laugh with friends they’ll walk up! And that benefits every booth nearby! I’m a financially proven sales boost for others. And i’m just fun!

And this was at AX in 2025! See? Evaluate my previous performance as part of the vetting process! PLEASE!

But people like cute anime girls. Which I do too! I mean come on. Ideally a mix of both right? Which I bring to the table (online and offline) as much as possible. That’s the mark of a WELL-DEVELOPED PORTFOLIO. YOU HEAR THAT AX?!?!?!??1

• 50% First Come First Serve. Essentially random, but only the for fully dedicated stay at home artists essentially. They MAKE the time to apply.

• 25% Random Lottery. Roll the Dice. No curation. No politics. No algorithm

• 20% Curated. What kinds of artists are missing from the offerings?

• 5% Locals Only. Local is relative, but come up with a definition.

• No artist may vend three years in a row. Two maximum.

• Add in another 15%. Just make more space for artists.

• Also Dance Dance Revolution machine in that Artist Alley.

• $4 Mimosas

I’ve done every con from Anime Expo to that weird local furry meetup. Vending’s vending! I have a great time and bring a solid 100% to the first two or three days of the event before getting sleepy on Sunday…

With pictures of my tables over many years and photos of my merch! WHICH HAS TO BE HIGH RESOLUTION TO PRINT! Nothing is under construction here. Except for the fact that we never escape the struggle of existence. Oh well.

Tho I personally believe that making people work for things helps them remember you more. Hence why I rarely sign things and intentionally do not always share my socials. That being said, I have “slugbox” on everything! So i can just say that and hand out things that say that. Inconvenience breeds interest, you know!

Print your work yourself and those prints will look way heckin’ more vibrant than CatPrint’s lasers. And it shows on display!

But clothes are fun. This one glows in the dark in a bunch of colors. COOL!
